All you need to do is load your Before photo into the app it'll appear as a silhouette when taking your After photo. That way you can line up your shots perfectly for maximum effect! In artists parlance, a 2 picture side-by-side photo is known as a diptych, 3 picture as triptych, and 4 picture as quadtych. Some times such photo arrangements are collectively called polyphtchs.

The basic concept behind creating a side by side photo remains the same — you start with a blank collage of desired output size, then split your canvas into cells, and finally place your pictures in the vacant cells.
These following steps are also demonstrated in a short video, later in this post.
1. Open TurboCollage and set your collage to use Mosaic pattern.
2. To start with, there's one cell that covers the whole canvas. Click this cell to select it; then split it horizontally using the tool shown in the screenshot below.

3. Now add pictures to the empty cells in our side by side photo collage.
